Indian heritage is the pedestal of vastly diverse art & culture, beliefs, herbal science, traditions, and rituals. The possibilities of what can be created with Indian heritage are unfathomable. Skilled and visionary artisans use the riches of the respective regional cultures to craft beautiful handiworks. A place in Pune which through its products take you on a journey from Kashmir to Karnataka is Heritage Handicraft Emporium. It is a legacy store that goes 60 years back to reflect a craft journey from Kashmir’s Pashmina to Karnataka’s Hutti Gold.
About Heritage Handicraft Emporium
Haji Habib-ullah Baig from Jammu & Kashmir started Heritage (earlier Kashmir Stores) in 1957 at MG Road, Pune, which displayed the finest quality Pashmina shawls and rugs. After gaining a commendable response from tourists across the world, in 1975, Kashmir Stores ramped up their offerings and turned into Heritage Emporium. They started operations at Pune’s very first Luxury Hotel, the Blue Diamond. Haji Habib-ullah Baig’s sons took over the trade in 1992 and established it as a new era Indian Art and Craft Products Emporium.
At Heritage, you can find the finest handicrafts from various corners of India, including pashmina, Sheesham, walnut wood, fine wood, brass, gold & silver, tapestries, jeweled carpets, soapstone, and marble
