Anu Kumar, the founder of Mora Taraa is passionate about creating rustic home decor that can naturally become part of your home and add to its beauty. She had realized that the kind of art that rural India celebrates, urban India misses out on. Hence, the idea of ‘Mora Taraa’ came to her.

More About Mora Taraa

Mora Taara or ‘my star’ as it means in Hindi, is named after Anu’s grandmother Tara who lived in a village of Rajasthan. As the name’s origin suggests, Anu’s company is influenced by the aesthetics of village life. Anu lived with her grandmother for some time and that is when she got inspired by the belief that ‘beauty is the default mode of life.’

They started their journey in 2005 in Mumbai. The bright colours, earthiness and the beautiful designs of Mora Taara’s products make them stand apart from others.
