Imagine a day in the 15th century when the royals and their aides were living in this massive 14-tiered palace complex spread on a huge area on a hill-slope. For royals and the very close aides, they’d have things like palanquins. What about others? It would be hard to navigate through this massive property. So, while they had the comfort and security within the palace complex, the walk around would be pretty exerting. And that’s how it is today.
The fort-palace has been turned into a heritage resort with creature comforts like swimming pools, gardens, ayurvedic spa etc. They have also installed two lifts for easy transfers. However, to access the entire place, one has to enjoy climbing up and down the hill.
