Be it the printed little frocks, adorable pajama sets or the fabric toys, a glimpse of handmade clothing at Almirah can take you back to the memory lane of childhood. This company is focused on creating clothing with traditional designs especially for kids, including newborns.
More About ‘The Almirah’
Gone are the days when children’s clothing was not something to be pondered upon. Now, even before the babies are born, parents make sure that their little one gets a distinctive style. The founders of Almirah – Divya Bajpai and Aditi Bajpai – understand this well. In 2011, the mother-daughter duo came up with the concept of a socially-conscious boutique with a novel Indian edge. Aditi used her designing insights to help her mother Divya create endearing outfits for little champs. The store specializes in organic clothing, accessories and bedding for children up to age 10.
From a small boutique store in Meherchand Market of Delhi to having stores in Bangalore, Ahmedabad and Kochi, Almirah has come a long way. Their collections are also available in selected boutiques of the US. They employ over 50 artisans who carefully craft a variety of prints, weaves and quilling techniques.
Almirah offers a range of beautiful ‘Jhabla’ dresses, kurtas, nightwear, jumpsuits, quilts, dohars, sheets, pillows and fabric toys. You can also order customized products for gifting.
Almirah’s clothing is available in Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Ahmedabad, and Kochi. The locations and contact details can be found here: www.thealmirah.com/contact
